Nipple piercing

A few months ago I had my nipple pierced however since being pregnant my boobs ache and my piercing is now causing me an irritation but I can't remove it. The ball has been screwed on so tight that it's impossible to get out.

Ideally i don't want to remove it but due to the discomfort I need to, will my achy boobs settle down ?? If not please give me some suggestions of how to get it out
