Christmas

So we're doing our daughter's baptism and birthday on the same day while everyone is together and we'll be paying for the party itself. But we're not in a spot to throw this party AND buy everyone Christmas gifts. We have several nieces and nephews and we easily drop a few hundred dollars every Christmas. And to make matters more awkward, my husband's family drops some serious money every year, so these kids are accustomed to gifts and I know we will be judged for this. Any suggestions for Christmas gifts or alternatives?
