I'm 10 weeks and haven't had an ultrasound yet!

I'm 10 weeks. I'll be 11 weeks next week when I go to the doctor. When I called up there a few days ago about a payment question the lady said the OB will most likely not do an ultrasound and only do the heartbeat since it's my first time seeing him. I've been there one other time to do physical and blood work. The lady didn't know how far along I was so I guess she didn't know but if I'm 11 weeks, shouldn't I have already had an ultrasound?
