First cervical check today

I'm never doing that again, it was painful as fuck! I literally saw stars it was so bad! Despite having BH contractions, and now some actual contractions my cervix is closed. Thinning or whatever, but still closed. I know it's not a very reliable indication of when labor will start but it still feels/sounds like it'll be YEARS from now (which is fine, I want my baby to stay in as long as she needs to).
