Did your doctor give you oxycodone for pain medicine? The 5mg tablets? How many did you take? And we're you still in pain

Yes, and I suggest taking them as prescribed. Taking more would be extremely dangerous. They didn't eliminate the pain, but following the two pain meds to a t made the pain tolerable.

I only took it while still in the hospital so they could give me stuff for nausea since prescription pain meds always make me barf, once I went home I just took ibuprofen & Tylenol, my incision didn't hurt all that much, it was the gas & constipation afterwards that were the worst!

I did get a prescription for oxycodone (not sure on the strength, it just says '5-325') and ibuprofen (600mg). They both definitely help out with the pain soreness. I take them according to what the bottle says and that works perfectly for me. Baby will be 3 weeks on Monday and I'm not really sore anymore but I'm still taking them just in case.

I only have Motrin and Tylenol post C-Section. I've never had narcotics nor will I ever take them if I can tolerate the pain and have other options. 
With that being said, if they give you narcotics you can take IBU with them. I would recommend 2.5mg Percocet and 600mg IBU. Takes pain away with out the side effects. If what I offer my patients who rather not take the narcotics fully.

I got 5mg oxycodon and ibuprofen 800s for pain. I started taking the oxy every few hours, but they were making me sick, so I slowed down, and within a week, was only taking half of them once or twice a day. And I take the ibuprofen whenever I start to kinda hurt. But I'm a little over 2 weeks pp, and almost don't need anything anymore unless I'm more active than usual.
