When to test- recently off bc

So I am recently off of birth control. My first cycle was 46 days. My second cycle was 30 days. This month we weren't actively trying to conceive, but not preventing, and had sex twice. I was not tracking anything to tell me when (or if) I ovulated. But this apps prediction is that we had sex during my most fertile days. So now I'm on day 31 of this cycle with no signs of AF. I don't want to say I'm late exactly because I'm not sure if I have a regular cycle at this point. And I don't want to "waste" money on a home pregnancy test if AF may come tomorrow. What would you do?
