Spotty period that comes & goes after being 8 days late?

I was expecting my period on April 7th, and waited and waited. The 15th I bled when I wiped but that was it. It was gone. Now (the 17th) it was slightly heavier but still only when I wipe. I am in a long distance relationship and I last saw him in October. Therefore, pregnancy is out. What is the matter with me? I haven't been stressed or anything so I don't know what's going on or what to do.
