Is trying to have sex everyday good or should it be every other day?

I've had mixed opinions from people about ever day and every other day.

​It is frustrating hearing family and friends opinions which is why I regret even telling them I'm trying. 
​
​So I've been trying since September and no luck. I'm not counting December because my husband was sick. 
​
​Any advice would be great!

I've been trying since September too. It doesn't hurt to do it everyday if the mode strikes but don't force it. My DH and I are trying SMEP this month which means every other day up until I get a positive ovulation test. Only my mom and my sister know we're officially trying and haven't been successful. I went to the dr. last week because I'm not ovulating like I should and may be starting clomid soon!! What I'm tired of hearing from everyone is "are you pregnant yet?" Since we got married in October that's all people ask. All I say is "we're working on it". It gets frustrating.

I also totally regret telling people we were trying. 8 months later it's like nope not yet. Ugh.

​About your question- I read a study recently that said sex every day does give you higher chances, but it's slight like 2% better so if you're normally not that active with hubby I wouldn't force it. Every other is fine.

​Also if there are any known sperm issues it's better to let it build back up every other day.

I am currently undergoing fertility treatments. My doctor suggested that we abstain from intercourse on days 9-11, then we have sex every other day up to ovulation (I know for sure when mine will be bc it will be medically induced). Then, we have sex both days following ovulation. He says this allows for the highest sperm counts and the greatest chance of conceiving. By the way we have no male factor fertility problems, he just said the more sperm the better. I hope this helps.

​We have tried almost every other day but that didn't work so we figured we try everyday to see how that goes. 
​
​It is extremely annoying with family and friends. I think it's rude to keep bothering someone who is trying to get pregant because you don't know if there's a problem etc. 
​
​My friend would call me every cycle and ask me if my boobs hurt and to take a test while on the phone with her. Then I find out she got pregnant and didn't tell me.  She would call me and say oh your Xmas must've sucked because you got your period. 
​
​So long story short I'm not close with her anymore. I avoid her now lol. I don't need people like that. 
​
