Advice needed

I really like this guy. I know he likes me as a friend but I can't tell if he likes me as more. He's told me that he's shy and awkward around people.. but I can see he's opening up. He's started joking around more and sometimes when we make eye contact he'll pucker his lips and make a kissy face or wink.

I'm just confused bc we're friends on all social media and he never hits me up 😐 how do I go about asking him out?? Or finding out if he likes me
