birth control???

Question

Anyone use Paragaurd? What are you reviews on it? I had Mirena for 5 years before I got pregnant this time around and I loved it. I'm having my baby next Wednesday, so I'm thinking about birth control. I'm stuck between the arm implant & the Paragaurd since I liked Mirena so much

I got my paragaurd 8 weeks after having my first baby (April 2017) and so far so good. I did have some pretty intense cramping and achiness the day I got it put in, it was almost comparable to mild contractions. and I've had spotting monthly since having it but I am breastfeeding so I assume that's  why I don't have  a 'period' yet and the spotting is accompanied by some uterine achiness? that's the only way I can describe it, it's not cramps, just a heavy uncomfortable feeling. I should add that I never had cramping before I had a baby. but otherwise, I don't even know it's there! the procedure was practically painless (compared to having a baby lol) all in all, I would recommend it for the peace of mind that it brings and the convenience.

I got the paraguard at my 6w pp visit. It didn't implant correctly so I had to go see a specialist who used a camera to move I into place (ouch). I breast fed so didn't get my period until she weaned at 13.5months. Once it started it was so horrifically heavy (changing super tampon every 30minutes). I figured it was bc it was my first period since baby. The next 3 were like that. I ended up getting back on the pill while still having the IUD bc of how insanely heavy it's been. I was warned it'll be heavier, but that was insane. I'm also still having break through periods every 2weeks, despite being on the pill. At this point, I think it's due to the IUD. I have to give the pill 6m, but if it's still occurring I'm going to have it removed. I always had a regular light period, so the IUD has def made it horrific and occurs way more often.
