Discolored/bruised nipples?

Does anyone else have this issue? Is this a bruise? Or just like a hickey from pumping?? I pump every 2-3 hours for 15-25 mins. (Twins born at 24 weeks in NICU)

Ouch! That looks painful mama. Is the flange on your pump the right size? For some reason I'm thinking it might be too small and that's what's causing the bruising.

Your nipples can change sizes, especially during a pumping journey. Try the next flange size up, and be sure to use some nipple cream or coconut oil to lube the the inside of your flanges. If that doesn't help, I suggest meeting with an LC again.
