Going out of town on boyfriends birthday

He says it's fine go have fun with my dad who is always working and never gets to spend time with his kids.

I just feel bad the day we leave for a two day event I'm leaving him behind, he has to work and my bf is one of those people who won't miss work unless absolutely there's no other choice. He will be at work all day and I will be with him in the morning I just feel terrible leaving.

I want to stay but he's pushing me to go, I just feel so bad.
