what to feed a 1yr old that's New at Eating real Foods

my daughters doctor jus told me to stop all formula and,baby food. and start feeding her whatever I eat pretty much. Real foods, anyways I'm just scared of her choking because she is so ballsy it literally scares the crap outta me! any suggestions ?

get cpr certified if you can! I know I feel much more relaxed knowing that I have the training if I ever need it. if you can't take a class, there are some good videos on youtube. I just think nothing beats seeing and doing a demonstration in person.     my daughter's favorite finger foods are black beans, scrambled eggs, bits of chicken (I just pick it apart with my fingers), and shredded cheese. she's only 8 months though. you could also try pancake bits (there are "healthier" recipes like banana pancakes) blueberries, pretty much anything that is chewable and not too big (still no grapes or hotdogs unless you want to quarter grapes 😩) we're going to try baking some sweet potato fries soon. She loves sweet potato puree but not homemade so I'm trying to find some way she can enjoy her favorite veggie as a finger food. she's gnawed on a French fry before when we were out at a restaurant unprepared so it'll just be a matter of getting the texture right (not too crispy but not too soft either. ooh and pasta! waiting on a few more teeth before we try it but cooked well should be pretty easy to mash up and swallow.

My son eats pretty much whatever we eat, I just make sure that it's in pieces he'll be ok eating with, since he loves shoving handfuls in his mouth all at once!

Cooked broccoli and carrots, bananas, strawberries and small chunks of meat are hits with my daughter. And mandarin oranges, she loves those.
Just remember she will gag as she gets used to it, she might spit things out. It's hard to hear the first couple times and you want to help but you just have to remember it's part of learning process. If she starts choking, can't get the food out, turns blue, that's when you step in. We only had one issue and it was with the wagon wheel puffs. They go bad after a week and don't dissolve like they are supposed to, which we didn't know and she had too big of a bite.

We do BLW , and my kids always eat what we do! This is what my 8 month old had for breakfast. 
Blueberry muffin cakes , bananas rolled in graham cracker crumbs and cottage cheese. It's messy, but so fun experimenting with different foods!

She still needs milk. Or formula if you choose. But just feed her what you eat. My daughter loves cheese, bread (or any wheat product in general), fruit (excluding grapes) - blueberries, strawberries, and banana are popular with her. Veggies like steamed broccoli, corn, mashed potatoes, soft carrots, peas, green beans.  Macaroni and cheese, she's picky with meats but likes chicken and meatloaf and ground meat. Things she can pick up herself especially. Pinto beans and any beans are also a favorite. Cereal - dry Cheerios, etc 
Really anything. I started giving her pizza crusts to gnaw on. Now she is 16 mos and I cut up a whole piece of pizza and she eats that.

cut up any meat really really small. when you think she's ready for bigger pieces then that's up to you.
