Calling Other Girls Attractive

Is it okay for your significant other to call other people attractive? Mine likes to argue that he's with me so it shouldn't matter, and that he'd rather tell me than him lie and keep it to himself. I told him I'd rather not hear it because it makes me feel insecure when out of nowhere he'll just mention how hot a certain girl is. Thoughts?
