my doctor called today to talk about genetic testing for my baby 😱😱😱 what are your thoughts on this.

I didn't do any but if I did I wouldn't go past the blood test. The blood test does tell you gender too so that's nice. I'm not personally OK with terminating my pregnancy regardless of what the tests say so for me the testing is unnecessary it will only add worry and stress to my pregnancy if it shows something could be wrong. I have enough trouble reducing stress in pregnancy I don't need to be adding more.

I had the panorama done, it was blood from me

Mine was covered by insurance, so I did it. It feels amazing to have peace of mind and to know the sex sooner.

I did the blood test. I personally don't see a reason not to. I wanted to be able to prepare for whatever, and had something been wrong I'd want to deliver at a hospital that could provide the best care possible for my child.

I did the blood work because it mattered to me, I wanted to know if there was anything wrong.

We did the blood test. I had walked into my first prenatal visit and told my OB that the outcome doesn't matter, I didn't want the amniocentesis done. She just calmly said "we'll do the blood work and might not have to do the amniocentesis." It was really nice to find out the sex at ~14 weeks.
