My OB cancelled the rest of my ultrasounds?

Question

I'm 28 weeks pregnant today and I had at least 4 more sonogram appointments already made up until I give birth. I had more sonograms than usual because they found a something concerning on one of my ultrasounds before (an echogenic intracardiac focus on my baby's heart- soft marker for Down syndrome or congenital heart defects). After my blood test for chromosomal abnormalities came back negative (97% accurate) my OB decided it was safe to cancel the rest of my sonograms. I'm only 28 weeks pregnant! My last sonogram was around 26 weeks. So I won't have anymore ultrasounds at all at this point. Is it weird to not have any more sonograms now? Especially since they've found something concerning on my ultrasounds before. I always see ultrasound pictures on here from 30-35 weeks. Please advise!

Its normal to only have 1 or 2 throughout your pregnancy. I had one at 9 weeks to confirm how far along I was and then a scan at 18 weeks. I don't think I'll have any more!

I just posted about this. I've had an uneventful pregnancy so I haven't had an ultrasound since week 20 and I'll be 37 tomorrow. however my sis in law had the same issue where they noticed something funny with the baby's heart but once the blood tests came back negative they no longer had to do more sonograms. Apparently funny things with the baby's heart in pics are more common than a lot of mommas think. After all, they're always developing. Anyway, I'm sure it can be jarring to suddenly have them all cancelled but take it as a good thing. Your doctor trusts that your baby is doing fine and if you trust your doctor, you gotta believe that everything will be okay! Otherwise you'll drive yourself insane. I haven't seen my baby since week 20 when we found out the gender 😭😭😭 But it's a good thing I've had no problems. 
As far as the pics others post, they could be in other states/countries that have different policies, but I think most of them pay extra at ultrasound entertainment facilities to get 3d and 4d pics. Don't feel discouraged. We'll see our babes before we know it!

After the anatomy scan or once they confirm everything is fine with the baby, they don't do more ultrasounds. All they do now is finish their development  (which will be fine if organs were confirmed okay) and put on weight. My first pregnancy it was hard to accept because I felt like I had so many (placenta previa) and then they just stopped!

Where I live, you only get a lot of ultrasounds if you're high risk.
I asked my doctor about a 3rd trimester ultrasound when I was pregnant and she told me that they would only give me an ultrasound if they suspected a problem or my baby was measuring too big or too small. She told me that it was a good thing that I didn't need more ultrasounds.

I have had three first because I had bleeding second they couldn't find heartbeat third was anatomy scan. I may have one more because I'm 32 weeks and baby is still breech. With 97% accuracy you're probably fine.

I think its normal. My hospital only does one at 20 weeks unless there's a concern. I'm fine with it because i dont want to take any unnecessary risks.

I would be relieved. Your baby is healthy! My last ultrasound was my anatomy scan at 22 weeks. I'm now 35 weeks. I won't have any more. That was it.
