the 5th grade embarrassment

i remember it was my third month getting my period and i still had a hard time understanding what to use and when. i was coming back from recess and we all were in a single file line. A boy was behind me and i didnt realize i had started. to make matter worse i was wearing a pair of bleach white jeans my gram picked out for me (thanks a ton). next thing i know the boy shouted, "ewww you have blood on your pants!" i felt my face getting hot with shame and fear. quickly i came up with an excuse. "no no no. its just ketchup. i sat on some during lunch." but i guess the blood had started to dry and looked just like dried blood would. nothing like ketchup. to this day i cant live it down
