Bags or bottles for storing breast milk?

I'm having a hard time figuring out what would be best for storing my breast milk in the freezer. Bags are only one use, but you can fit more bags in than bottles since they're not as bulky. But bottles are good too because they're reusable, so I wont have to keep buying more (probably cheaper in the long run which is important for me). What do you think? Which is better?

I built up a freezer stash of 200 ounces so there's no way I could have stored that in bottles. I used bags and froze it flat. If your not planning on building up a freezer stash and will only be pumping when needed (if you have to be away from baby for a day), then maybe bottles will work for you because you won't need as many 🤷🏻‍♀️ 
You can get 100 bags for $10 at Target. I think I've only went through 3 boxes of this...so $30?

Aside from not being able to fit many bottles, the milk is sooo much easier to heat up in a bag. You can just set the bag under the faucet with hot water and it will heat up quickly. It takes forever in a bottle. Also, if you are able to build up a supply, you will need so many bottles. This is just one of my drawers of milk. There is no way my freezer could hold this all with bottles.

Bags. If you stored the milk in bottles, it would likely damage the bottle over time. Plus, it is much easier to reheat in some warm water when it is in a bag.

I filled breast milk bags dated into gallon size zip loc bags. I stored about 6 oz a piece. I bought lansoln bags but they always leak and I lose soke milk. I got wiser and bought parent choice ones from Walmart and they never did.

I'm probably the odd one but I'm planning to store in glass mason jars. Freezing and reheating in plastic freaks me out. So I'll combine a days worth of pumping into one large mason jar, and take it out to thaw in the fridge a day or two before it's needed and dad will pour from that into a bottle. I'll also have some small jars incase more needs to be heated up quickly. I love this because the jars are reusable, so even after I'm done breastfeeding I can use the jars to freeze soups and other foods.

Honestly the only reason i don't like the bags is I always ended spilling breast milk and it killed me. I used mostly bottles and then bags once I used all the bottles.

I love Kiinde bags, they have the twist cap top and have never leaked on me like the Ziploc style ones :)

bottles are good for when you're just putting your milk in the fridge for a day or two but bags are so much better for long term storage in the freezer, the cost is so worth it for how helpful it is when baby is crying and you need a bottle quickly
