Ladies with long hair

So. I have a problem. My hair is nearly down to my ass and it’s pretty thick, I would LOVE to put it in a bun but I just CAN’T!! I want a cute messy bun but there’s just sooooo much hair! My bobbles always break even if I’m just trying to do a pony tail! Usually I have to use a scrunchie but I hate using those. I would love some tips! What do you do with your hair? How do you get it up into a bun?
