Try Again?

Let's say a friend and you started dating and he broke up with you for an ex. Later he comes back asking to try again because he thinks he made a mistake. You're stilk in love with him but worried about getting hurt and don't trust him anymore. Do you try again? Tell him to get lost? Try to be friends?

I don't know. I like to see the good in people. Plus there was a time I wanted to get back together. I'm not sure anymore.
