Best Car Seat?

Question

What car seat is everyone buying? I have no idea what to begin to look for on purchasing a safe car seat for my baby girl. So I decided to ask you intelligent women! 
Why, where you can buy it and what's it look like?

All car seats go through the exact same safety standards and testing the only difference is the name on the box and all the bells and whistles it comes with the $100 seat is just as safe as a $600 seat

I have the chicco keyfit 30 and love it but like others said, they all meet the same standards for safety. It's about personal choice with color, weight, price, etc.

Chicco Keyfit is a good recommendation.
My husband are still on the fence on the Keyfit and the Uppababy Mesa because we are planning to get the Uppababy Vista stroller (which is compatible with both).
What is most important is that the car seat is properly installed. And if you have any doubt, you can always go to your local police department and they can help you.
If you have a Buy Buy Baby or specialty baby store near you, it's a good idea and look around so you can see for yourself and get opinions with their experts.

Exactly what Christina said! They all go through the same testing and have to pass in order to be put on the market. You’re the one who’s in control of how safe it may be. You could buy a $400 seat but it’s not going to do its job if you don’t install it properly. So don’t get too caught up there!
We had an infant carrier that came with our daughter’s stroller. The system is by Graco. We’ll be upgrading her to a bigger seat in December when she’s 7 months old. We’ll be buying the Graco 4Ever Extend2Fit which is a combo between their 4Ever car seat and their Extend2Fit car seat. It’s four car seats in one so as long as we keep it clean and in good condition she’ll have it all the way up until she doesn’t need a car seat/booster seat anymore 😊

I'm registering for the GB Lyfe travel system thay comes with the GB Asana infant car seat.   As for a convertible carseat, I got the Britax Boulevard Clicktight.   I like that the Britax is a British brand and the European safety standards are higher than the US ones.
