Daith and migraines?

Hi girls, I've been thinking about getting my daith pierced because a) I've heard it may help with migraines and b) I want more piercings anyway and it looks pretty 😍 I'm a bit sceptical about it helping, so I was wondering if any of you had experienced any change in your headaches after getting it pierced, particularly if your migraines are hormone induced, as I think mine are. Also: my migraines affect the right side of my head, so I initially thought pierce the right ear, until I saw someone say do the opposite side to the pain since the brain controls opposite sides of the body. Do you guys have it on the painful side or the other?
