One day at a time

Dayva

6 weeks to 31 weeks!

How fast time passes.

So, I've been on bed rest due to a sprained knee and a shortened cervix (I'm already at 1 cm shortened) for the last three weeks and all of this occurring when hurricane Irma hit my town. My doctors have told me I have a very high risk pregnancy. I ended up falling and had to be taken to the emergency room the 3 nights before the hurricane hit us hard. While they were treating my knee, which is still pretty damaged, they found that my cervix was shortened and admitted me immediately. I've been on countless meds and had to start my maternity leave (I'm a teacher) earlier then I expected. At worst 3 hours of the hurricane, my mom put me in the safest room of her house and prayed the rosary over me, while I had a little statue of St. Francis of Assisi on my tummy. I've had to deal with so much, I definitely feel stronger then I was a couple weeks ago.

I'm just grateful my little one has not decided to come earlier then she suppose to come. I'll feel a lot better if I can make it to 32 weeks.

I'll see you in December, little Adeline Rose.
