First Cycle-IVF-9/13/2017

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 9 years, going on 10 years in December. I also have PCOS. I have to be on injections for 13 days because of the PCOS. My eggs were growing very slowly but finally got there. My husband has low sperm count, low sperm mobility, and low sperm linearity.

After two failed IUIs, we decided to take the big step in making our dreams come true. We started our IVF journey on September 13, 2017.

Our retrieval date was September 26, 2017.

Today, September 27, we got the call that of all the eggs seen on the monitor in previous vaginal ultrasounds, which were between 15-17, only 9 were retrieved. Of those 9, 4 were mature enough. Of the 4, only 2 fertilized. I'm hopeful to have these magic beans stick and grow healthy over the course of our next months.

I am trying to provide a stress-free uterus/home for our embryos once they are transferred, but currently with work (teacher), that is very difficult. Obviously, I've had to be out for multiple appointments and will continue to be to ensure we are in the clear. Transfer date is between Friday (9/29/17) or Sunday (10/1/17).

Needless to say, my boss is not happy with my absence in the least. I am still putting my babies first, and will continue to do so as long as I live.

Please send positive vibes and as many prayers as possible our way! We are excited and know it is in God's hands. We understand that it could have been worse in that we may not have had any eggs fertilized so we are very blessed.

WISHING YOU ALL BABY DUST!!!!!
