He's smoking behind my back

Before I married my husband he asked me to stop smoking so I did. He says he hates the smell and just can't stand being around it at all.... he's been going behind my back talking to other people about divorce and stuff like that for about a week and a half and hasn't said anything to me about it yet. I just found a pack of cigarettes in his backpack that he took to work two nights ago. Not sure what to do... I've been pushing him to talk to me for a week and today I decided to give him three days without saying anything about what's going on and see if he actually talks to me. But now the cigarettes. I'm seriously so broken right now I don't know what to do. This hurts so bad. He is just transitioning out of the military back into the civilian world so I know that he's stressed out but why go behind my back so much?
