Anyone conceive while breastfeeding?

Hi, my lo is a little over a year old and we are currently combo feeding, bf and formula while at work. Anyway, my period hasn't returned yet and I'm not on any bc. I'd like to begin ttc #2 in about 6 months but not sure if I'd have to completely stop bf-ing. Has anyone successfully conceived while breastfeeding without the return of aunt Flo?

You can ovulate before your period comes back. We started ttc our 3rd in June when my LO was 18months and still nursing. I haven't had a period since March 2015. I got my bfp June 24th. I'm currently 13weeks and still nursing my son ☺

You can breastfeeding is not a form of birth control. So yea you could conceive.

I did! Breastfeeding only works as birth control if you are exclusively doing it-- meaning no formula, no baby food not even pacifiers!

You may not get your period while breastfeeding due to hormones, but that
doesn't mean you're not still ovulating regularly. 
You do not have to stop breastfeeding, and yes you can still become pregnant

It's a myth that breastfeeding is "birth control", you're actually most fertile in the 4-6 month range PP. However you can conceive at any time while breastfeeding, even without your period.

I never used formula or a bottle one time and exclusively breastfed and got pregnant again right before my second son turned 6 months
