Melania Trump was denied the opportunity of donating Dr. Seuss books

Melania Trump was trying to donate books to an elementary school and the Librarian did not allow her to donate books because the books had "racist propaganda" (Dr. Seuss' books) what do you guys think about this? Are Dr. Seuss books racist? Are they offensive? Why haven't we heard about this at all before? Or was this just common knowledge that the books are racist and I'm the rare one that hasn't heard a thing about it?

I'm surprised this wasn't discussed on CC..
