"Paedophilia is a fate, not a choice"

I've just read an article with this title. It was by The Independent is anyone wants to read it.

Essentially a doctor has come forward with this statement. Saying they are born with that preference which they cannot change. Like being born straight or gay etc.

I have always agreed with this that those people cannot help how they feel. Like a kink, however weird some kinks are those people never chose them, they just discovered they felt that way.

The difference comes with whether these people act on their feelings. I feel like their must be plenty of peadophiles out there who know their thoughts are bad so don't act on them bar imagination. And I respect those people so much and feel for them.

Just curious on other peoples thoughts with this. Think it could make for interesting debate 🤔
