When should I contact my doctor?

How long after TTC would you make an appt with your doctor to look into it?? We've been trying for about 6 months and I'm not even sure I'm ovulating. I've been using OPKs for the past 2 months and never get a positive. A coworker told me her doctor wouldn't prescribe anything until after a year but maybe it's different depending on the doctor? Do y'all have any experience with this?

One year unless your 35 and older and than it's 6 months ttc

do you track your temperature? I don't always get positive opks but most months my temps show I have ovulated, sometimes it shows I probably have not

You can go to the doctor and they can at least do an ultrasound to see if you ovulate. This would at least give you some insight. And you never know, they may help even after 6 months. Can't hurt to go and let them know you have been trying.

I by past my PCP cause I have a great relationship with my OB told him everything my temping, opks, and period difficulties. He put us on Clomid after 6 months. You know your body better than anyone else if you can prove your not doing it on your own go find someone to help. It was the best decision we made it took a lot of the stress out of TTC

it depends where you live different places have different rules on it where I love you have to be trying on your own for a year then with regular doctor visits for a year then they will give you tests
