I have visited my obgyn and my pcp. Both suggest I get the flu vaccine. I'm 12 weeks pregnant and it's been 10 years since I've gotten a flu vaccine.

Reading up on pregnancy and vaccines, I'm a little torn as to why I'm being pressured to get the flu shot. I understand the risks if I don't get it. But I understand the risks if I do. Flu vaccines are high in mercury but why would it be suggested I get it? I'm just nervous about getting this while pregnant. As soon as I asked about the contents in the flu shot, and high mercury levels found in them. My PCP, told me to talk to my obgyn about it. He totally avoided the discussion, it didn't help convince me at all. Can someone please help me. No bashing please, just give me your experience. If you got it or not.
