This is a pretty serious situation and although he should be supportive, I think you need to understand that this affects him as well as you. Yes you are the pregnant one, but he does have to sort of grieve the pregnancy if he needs to. It's a tough situation and I think you two need to support each other while remaining respectful to one another. If he is talking down to you or calling you names, then yeah I'd say leave him. But if you care about him, recognize that this is a tough situation that affects you both so maybe you can try and work through it. But I agree. You don't have to be depressed, but also don't repress your feelings. That will only cause trouble later down the line. My sister had an abortion and went along like everything was fine. She ignored her feelings so she didn't have to deal with them. A few years later, they hit her hard. Take advantage of any counseling you can find or are offered.

there's always adoption.. of you're gonna have sex, there's always a chance you'll get pregnant, if you aren't willing to risk that, don't have sex.

My husband cracks jokes to lighten situations too and it makes me mad a lot. I understand both perspectives. just talk to him about it and understand what helps you lessen a hardship isn't what helps him

You need to do what's best by you. It's a tough situation but ultimately it's your body and your decision. Don't have a baby you don't want just because your boyfriend says so.
