Yes, only if I was really really set on it, though, I'd probably try to find another name I like- but if I was already pregnant and it felt super right I would use the name- but let her know.

My sister was pregnant earlier this year and wanted to pick the name me and my partner had already picked out for when we have children, I told her this and she picked a different name. A month or two later I found out I was pregnant and in 4 weeks my little girl will be named this. Talk to her about it first.

I voted yes but If it's bothering you even a little bit I would talk to her again and maybe come up with a compromise where you both use it as a middle name? My sister, all my female cousins and I all have the middle name Lynn. It has no meaning, my mom had the first girl and picked it for my sister and the rest just followed. 
I have one niece on my side and one niece on my husband's side. It just so happens that both their middle names are Rose.  We are having boy/girl twins and my daughter will be Liliana. Though at first I wasn't to big on the idea of using the middle name Rose bc I know people will call her Lily and I didn't want two flowers (Lily Rose) I thought it would be super cute if all the female cousins had the same middle name. When we told my sister, sister in law and both nieces they were beyond excited.

My sister chose both names I really like for her daughters first and middle name, she had no idea how much I loved those names though. Great minds think alike. I'm very happy for her and her daughter and it fits her perfectly!

So my sister and I WERE pregnant at the same time and both loved “Mila”. I like it because it’s just beautiful. She liked it because it’s a shorter version of her MIL. 
I decided on another name because it had more meaning and history to here. She ended up having a boy. 😑 By the time she found out, my bf and I were set on another name.

The one of you could hse it as a middle name. Since she isn't pregnant yet you could use it as a first name and she can use it as a middle name.
