Should a husband/SO help you out with chores/groceries/kids/etc on his days off from work?

So my husband thinks just because he works 5 days all he has to do on his 2 days off is lay there and be served like he’s a king. Lay here and make a mess for me to clean up. Lay there on his phone and watching tv. I think he should help me out ( especially because I’m 31 weeks preg ) and have a 1 year old . But no. Whose wrong ?

WTF? you need to sit down and talk to him. Tell him that parenting is NOT a job so regardless if he's tired and whatnot, you both signed up for taking care of your child and made a commitment to take care of them when you decided to have kids.

I'm a SAHM and my SO works 60+ hours a week plus 2 hours of travel to and from work each day I don't expect him to do anything around the house and he has no problem helping me if I ask. But he's always exhausted I just do it on my own anyway. he works hard enough and he shouldn't have to work when he gets home too. only thing he has to do is mow the lawn and he likes doing it.

I think it depends on the situation. If you're a sahm and he works hard and long hours, I don't think it's fair for him to be folding laundry. But if you're both working, then every chore has to be discussed, it seems 🙄 I like being a Sahm, it's so much simpler.

I work full time as a nurse but telephonically at home and I keep my 1 year old. My husband gets to include travel time so he is usually home before I get off and I still have to bitch for him to do stuff. I'm working, taking care of a 1 year old, pregnant, and I do everything around the house unless I act like a fool. So I got a maid to come every week and it's the best decision ever. If I didn't work I would cut him more slack but this is hard as hell. I'm only 11 weeks and have already been to the hospital for my blood pressure being through the roof.

My fiancé is working two from 5am-130pm then 3pm-12am almost every day, and he still does what I ask him to. Knowing he’s exhausted I don’t ask for much, but when I ask him to swap the laundry or empty the dishwasher there’s no argument. I work full time too and take care of the house mainly lately and he understands that if I didn’t do that and make lunches, dinners, and take care of our animals his life would be much harder than it is now. When we both only worked one job he did a lot more, well basically everything because I was gone during the day at work and he was gone in the evening.

I feel you. I’m not working during this pregnancy and plan to be a sahm. On the days my husband works I’m definitely doing the cooking, cleaning, etc. but on his day off I ask him to help me out. Maybe even cook ME breakfast. Mostly because I’m pregnant, his days off are “OUR” days off. So I kick my feet up a little as well. 
Definitely plan on full time taking on everything once the babies are here. But I’m trying to soak up any chill time while I can.

No. A husband should never “help out.” He should do his part. All members of the family should. Even small children can do chores.

He is, my man works 70 hours a week, comes home and cleans, helps with our 16 month old, cooks etc. 
just because you work doesn’t mean you are broken, Im also 35 weeks pregnant and i be darned if i do this on my own.
