Yesterday in our 20 week detailed scan we found out that I have a single umbilical artery in umbilical cord, normally there are 2 arteries. So far this has not had any effect on the baby, the baby is growing fine. They also didn't find any abnormalities in the heart or other body parts. We have to go back for a fetal cardiac ultrasound in 3 weeks. The doctor says it's nothing to worry and she has delivered lots of babies with this condition and they were all normal. Anyone else encountered this?
