This may sound weird, but there are some people who find sex too distracting to reach climax. Whether it's the other persons body parts hitting the others or what have you. It is strange that he has never finished during sex, however maybe that's just his preference or how he's always worked. I'd certainly talk about it openly so he knows how you feel. I dated a guy like this, actually he would never cum during sex or a blow job, he had to finish himself with his hand. For him it was the medication he was on and also steroids lol.
