Rant: Too Much Togetherness

Elizabeth

Let me start off by saying that I love my in-laws and that living with them is normally a really great thing for them and for us. But my father-in-law is working out of state for weeks at a time right now (and will be for the next 2 1/2 years), so my husband and I have been making an effort to spend time with his mom when we are home.

I'm 28 weeks now, and my husband still hasn't felt our daughter move. We want it to be a private moment between the two of us, but it seems like anytime she is active, either I'm not with him or his mom is right there. Like literally, I had just started to tell him to come try to feel tonight when she walked into the living room. Then I had sat down with him later in the evening, so that he could try. She had to come back out from her room 2-3 times for things she forgot to grab on her way to bed. By that time, I had a sleeping baby again.
