I was curious if any of you are pregnant with a boy and have heart rate in the 170s? I’ve heard so many people say that when the heart rate is that high it’s usually a girl. How accurate is this?

The reason it isn't accurate is because when the baby is active, the heart rate is higher, when the baby is sleeping or more inactive, the heart rate is lower. At one ultrasound we had a sleeping baby with a 140 and at another the same baby was 167. That theory would mean the baby switched genders (not possible haha)

not accurate at all. my husband and his brother was under 140 when they were babies, my son's goes up into 160s.

Not accurate at all. Both my boys had high heart rates. Heart rate doesn't correlate with gender.

Not accurate. First appointment 9 weeks hr was 186 13 weeks was 165 and 16 weeks was 168 and I had a boy.

At 18 weeks my boy was at about 164 bpm, and this last week at 33w5 he was 144bpm. 😊
