I got my Paragard back in June. I am 23 and have never had a child, I had been on HBC for the last 6 years and decided I wanted to try a hormone free birth control to give myself a break. Now everything I read prior to getting Paragard said to expect terrible periods for a while after insertion. My first 4 periods after getting Paragard were actually pretty light and easy, but I am two days into my current period and I feel like I am dying. Worst cramps I have ever experienced and bleeding through super tampons left and right. Is this going to be my new normal?? Why is it just now this awful and not for the last few months??
