i'm considering going on a super low dose of t, but i have cystic acne and abscesses that are like...super gross.

Hey Luke.  I know this is an old post, but I wanted to tell you that I always had bad acne growing up, and into my 20's.  I started T at around 30 years old and it got even worse for maybe a year, but it's been so much better for years now.  I ac really only start to break out when I'm late getting a dose.  So all hope is not lost!  
If you have a hard time seeing a dermatologist then look into Curology online.  They're really inexpensive and I've had great luck in being open with them, and getting my treatment changed or tweaked if something wasn't working great.  Tretinoin, Clindamycin, and Azelaic Acid are the three I've used the longest with them.  I add over the counter adapalene, benzoyl peroxide, and niacinamide.

It depends on the person but from what I've read most people usually get more acne
