It was about the size of my pinky nail. Fast forward to 3 days ago, I wake up to a painful lump underneath the mole. The next day, its red and still growing. I thought maybe it was a pimple and it would go away, but it's only gotten worse. It's been 3 days and it's gotten to the point where its grown double the size of what it was, red, swollen, jagged edges and so excruciatingly painful that I can't even lay down without wanting to cry. I've been taking advil (anti-inflammatory), putting on anti-inflammatory cream, and icing it all day long and no difference. BEFORE ANYONE SUGGESTS GOING TO THE DOCTOR - I plan on it. But they don't open till Tuesesday, and i wanna have an idea of what it might be. I'm worried about malignant melanoma. Any suggestions on what it may be, or what to do to help with swelling or pain would be greatly appreciated

So it went away on its own before Tuesday when I was going to the doctors. I did a bit of research and I'm pretty sure it was a boil (they're common around the genitals). I soaked it in warm water, kept it clean and put warm compresses on it, and it cleared right up. Thank you for all your help!
