I am hoping for some advice from anyone who has been there....

Currently I shave my public hair with the grain. I have found if I try to wax or shave against the grain I get ingrown hairs even if I exfoliate daily. This is the best solution I have found for myself however my husband complains that my hair rubs him raw and this is a huge roadblock in our sex life. Growing it out is uncomfortable as well so the only thing I can think of is spend big bucks on a permanent hair removal solution... if anyone has some input on how to make things better or what has worked for them I would appreciate the input.
