Postpartum Body

So I'm posting this in hopes of inspiring any mamas out there frustrated with their postpartum bodies.

Before pregnancy I had this very athletic body. I legit had a six pack. I should also mention that I'm a personal trainer. I'm 5'5, weighed 128 at 17% bodyfat. During pregnancy I gained about 45lbs. I tried to workout through my pregnancy but once I got into the third trimester, my body just said NO. Lol! So I stopped. I didn't start working out again until my son was 2 months old. That's a total of 5 months of not working out. After giving birth I lost 20 lbs instantly. But then didn't lose much after that even though I'm breastfeeding.

There were times that I would get out of the shower and look at my body. I had loose skin, stretch marks (on my boobs), cellulite, and zero muscle definition. I hated the way my body looked. And to be honest there were countless nights I cried because I felt I would never get my old body back. Even that first day I went back in the gym, I was frustrated. But I forced myself to take a before picture, because I knew that if I didn't quit, getting my old body back IS possible with hard work and determination. Well a month has passed since that first day at the gym and so far I've lost 7lbs and went from 28%BF to 25%BF.

So if you're wondering if it's possible, I'm here to tell that yes it is! I'm not where I want to be YET but I've certainly made progress and I can see it which is even more motivation for me to keep going!
