Flying after birth?

Question

I have family that lives in California and would like to fly out there after my baby is born.  I've never flown with a baby before what is a good age to fly a baby out? (It would be for my brother in-laws return to the states he's in the Air Force)

i wouldnt just because the baby hasnt had all immunizations yet. i would wait until baby has had immunizations (2 months) before flying. airplanes and airports are gross lol they could always come to you?

My son will be about 2.5 months but I was wondering if I should just wait until he's older or if i should just go I know he'll need shots and things like that but we would stay for a week if that. I'm asking for a good age range to take him out there I won't be taking my new born anywhere the first month. There are old wives tales my culture has that I do believe in and I'm not willing to take a risk with my kids (I know that sounds crazy but that's just how I feel towards them)

Also babies are a lot of work and come with a lot of stuff. It may seem easy to just pop on a plane and go but trust me once any is here you'll be like man I was crazy to think that lol

I wouldn't fly with a newborn. Can't they fly to you?
I would fly at no less than 3 months old.
