Whats the best birth control

So I'm making an appointment to have my nexplanon birth control implant removed the 3 years is up and I have absolutely hated it. I've had very irregular periods and extreme back pain and sore boobs. My periods will be months long and other times it'll be 2 days with barely any blood whatsoever. So what do you guys prefer? What works best for you? I was thinking of trying the pill just something easy.
