Terrified

So, during my pregnancy check up last Monday, I had a pap smear done as well. I just got a call earlier about an abnormality on my cervix resulting from the pap. Now, this coming Monday I have to go in for a colposcopy. The exam won't hurt my baby, but that's not what concerns me. My mother went through something similar with the abnormality. She doesn't recall exactly what her doctor said, but if it had excelled any further it would have developed into cervical cancer. She had whatever lesion it was or what not burned off. I'm terrified that something similar will occur and will hurt my baby. I have been through a miscarriage before I had my daughter. I don't want to leave this baby either. What can I do?
