FTM and i was wondering whats better to sleep a baby in and why? Ive heard many people say that a crib isnt neccesay so im confused and would like to know yalls opinions

I basically held my son for the first two months of his life. Wherever you can get that baby to lay and go to sleep is what's best for you. A crib, a life raft in the pool, a damn shoe box. LoL

Bassinet for the first couple of months.. keep the bassinet in your room next to your bed and then transfer to crib after the baby can sleep through the night in his or her room. Highly recommend a video monitor as well for when the baby sleeps in the crib.

Rock n play!! Best thing ever! We had a reflux baby, so the rock n play stayed by my bedside and kept him elevated and I was able to rock him back to sleep.

I used a bassinet till my daughter got too long for it, because I could have her right beside my bed for the constant waking.  around 4 months she got to where  she would sleep longer so we put her in her crib in her room.
