How long is too long to pump for?
I've heard pumping should take between 15-20 minutes but there's no way I have enough milk by then. I've been pumping between 35-50 minutes every 4-5 hours except for nights when it's about 7 hours between pumps. Is this too long? my nipples don't get sore from the extra time pumping. I have an 8 week old who takes 150ml every 3-4 hours so I try to pump 1 1/2 of those at a time and substitute with formula if I don't have enough.
