Proposing?

Me and my boyfriend have been together for 4 months, and he said he wants to propose to me at my graduation, I'm currently 17 and he is fine with waiting to have our wedding until I'm ready, he just wants to ask, we will be together almost 1 year, we got together in June and I graduate in May, what's your thoughts on this, Are we moving too fast or is it okay for him to ask? because I don't want to get married straight out of highscool and I told him and he said that he us perfectly fine on waiting until we can get married, as long as he gets to ask he's fine, and I'm fine with that too.
