I THINK I DID SOMETHING WRONG

So I was at a Renaissance festival with my family this summer and I saw a lady with a SUPER CUTE FLUFF DOG!!! so I walked up to her and asked politely if I could get it. she said yes and as I was petting it she said "she's a service dog for anxiety" I forgot about this for a while but I just realized today YOU ARNT SUPPOSED TO PET THOSE!!! I don't remember seeing a vest in the dog but idk I just hope I didn't ruin it's mojo by petting it or something.
