Montgomery glands
Ok, this may seem like a silly question. And I have every intention of asking my lady doctor during my upcoming annual, but I'm not finding anything to ease my mind online for the short term. When I was pregnant (4 years ago) a couple of my Montgomery glands on my left areola became swollen and leaked oil. I know this is completely normal and to healthy, so I didn't look much into it or ask when it would go away. I breastfed for 16 months, all the while the 2 glands stay swollen and leaked oil. It hasn't hurt, grown, or bothered me at all the last 3 years, but lately when I get out of the shower I notice it and wish it would just go away already. It's more of a cosmetic issue for me. Anyone else have these issues after nursing or pregnancy? If so how the heck did you get rid of it?
